Netflix and SAG/AFTRA have partnered to allow Ransom Canyon to hire SAG/AFTRA members to work as background actors.
We are tasked with hiring 10 SAG/AFTRA actors anytime we are within the zone, a 30mile circle emanating from ABQ City Hall.
*** If we are unable to find existing SAG/AFTR members to work, are allowed to hire non union background and pay them on a SAG voucher. This is also called a Taft Hartley.
The pay for a day as a union BG is $208/8. You are able to work on a union voucher 3 days. If you are hired to work a 4th day on a union voucher, you are required to join the union at a rate of $1125.
You have 30 days to join the union after your 3rd union voucher.
